The Celts were a civilization that existed on the European continent before the expansion of the Roman Empire. Afterwards, they existed only in the West of England, Scotland and Ireland. During the centuries that followed, the Celtic culture of these regions of the world experienced the influence of the Vikings and Christian Europe.
